For this project, I was tasked with creating illustrations for Seagull Books' 40th Anniversary merchandise and catalogues. Trying to subtly distill the essence of Calcutta into the creatives was a challenge. But nothing is better at representing a city than its people. Therefore, I combined the various characters and birds often seen in our City of Joy to convey the spirit of Seagulls Books through these illustrations.
