I was responsible for the graphic novel adaptation of Mahasweta Devi's novella titled 'The Armenian Champa Tree' during my internship at Seagull Books. It was my first time illustrating a full book. I learned how the process of illustrating works, starting from in depth reading of the material to making illustration notes to rough sketching and laying out of ideas and text. Working on this project was an insightful experience to say the least.
This project was completed during an internship at Seagull Books in Kolkata.
